Product Planner Job Description
Job Summary
The Product Planner is part of a highly cross functional team spanning across Lexmark’s business functions that include R&D, Portfolio Management, Supply Chain, Professional Services, Sales, and Marketing to drive Lexmark’s brand and product life cycle.
The successful candidate enables successful product delivery through organizational leadership and information management, starting from product conceptualization until release.

Technical knowledge of the development processes in the entire product development life cycle.
Enable successful delivery to customers through efficient and effective information management.
Visibility to global program development and participation in various decision-making discussions with different levels of leadership.
Network with cross functional teams across the organization from product conception to launch/release.
Expand leadership breadth and influence by working with stakeholders across the organization while aligning development teams with the business requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities
Drive business checkpoint processes to ensure that programs meet schedule and financial targets.
Lead product gate meetings and facilitate executive and leadership sign off.
Understand the key checkpoints, milestones, and gates within the Lexmark product lifecycle process.
Coordinate with internal business areas to align product and delivery requirements.
Establish information structure that bridge marketing data to engineering assembly components.
Accountable for product information document that is the source of truth for Lexmark product definition.
Update and Maintain the Product schedules and milestone in the product sites.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or project management field
At least 3-5 years' experience directly related to project management
Practical experience and knowledge in managing the product development lifecycle
Highly organized with a demonstrated ability to track progress, drive actions, and communicate requirement as well as progress reports
Collaboration skills, along with the ability to negotiate required timelines among competing priorities
Strong leadership skills and ability to work with and across various groups and levels of management within the organization
Ability to deal with ambiguity and influence others towards a common goal
Able to analyze complex ideas or requirement and distill them into functional and sustainable processes
A demonstrated ability to learn and use various project management tools is required
