Scottish Power is embarking on a Cyber Security Transformation Programme. We’re looking for a subject matter expert to define, implement, and manage the Cyber Security Risk and Governance models across ScottishPower. This ensures that key cyber risks, including all relevant risk and performance indicators, are reported to the ScottishPower Management Committee and Audit & Compliance Committee.

What you’ll be doing

The Cyber Risk & and Governance Manager will be responsible for defining and maintaining the Cyber Security Policies, Frameworks, Rules, and Methodologies for all ScottishPower Businesses.

The role leads a team to deliver Cyber Risk and Governance objectives contributing to the execution of ScottishPower’s Cyber Security Strategy.

This role sits within the 2nd Line of defense and ensures risks are effectively in line with our Cyber Risk Policy, Framework, Methodology, and Appetite.

The role plays a critical part in helping define the Cyber Security Strategy, providing essential information related to cyber security risks.

Things you’ll be working on

You’ll establish an Enterprise Cyber Risk Profile, supporting all business areas to adopt the Cyber Risk Management Methodology

You’ll define and implement Cyber Security Governance Models, designing Cyber Security Policies, Frameworks, Rules, and Methodologies, including defining and implementing a Data Governance Model.

You’ll design models to help ensure that cyber security is being properly managed and governed across all areas.

This role owns and manages the Cyber Rule Exception Procedure, supporting risk-based decisions, and ensuring all Risk Reporting requirements are managed effectively. This involves monitoring adherence to the Risk Management Methodology and developing and maintaining a suite of Key Risk and Key Performance Indicators.

A key part of the role will involve developing and Implementing a Risk Management model, informing the Cyber Assurance Team of key focus areas based on Risk.

This is a leading role, where you’ll build and maintain strong relationships with Global and Local Colleagues.

What you’ll bring

Highly specialised knowledge and experience of Cyber Security as evidenced by relevant industry qualifications (e.g. GICSP, CISSP, CISM)

Significant experience of developing and leading Cyber Security Risk Management and Governance in an organisation of similar scope and scale to ScottishPower, with previous Security Management experience in a global organisation preferred.

Expert knowledge in cyber security frameworks and standards as well as a deep understanding of cyber security regulations as they apply to a UK energy supplier.

Significant experience in defining cyber security risk strategies and developing and delivering associated services.

Significant experience in developing and delivering cyber risk and programmes.

Specialist knowledge of risk assessing cyber security risks and articulating these so that these can be understood at all levels of the organisation.

Awareness of key legislation and regulation impacting the delivery of IT and OT Cyber Security in an energy utility.

Experienced in developing and communicating Cyber Security Risk Strategies.

Experience in writing policies and procedures.
