About the role

The South-East Asia (SEA) business is a key growth region for our Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa (APMEA) region, Indonesia is the largest retail business within SEA and is a key enabler for growth and is also home to our new state-of-the-art taste manufacturing facility in Karawang. The facility is the company’s largest greenfield investment in SEA and will support Kerry’s food and beverage customers in all food categories, including Beverage, Snacks, and Bakery, which are among the company’s fastest growing end use markets. This role will provide an excellent opportunity to engage business and finance leaders right to regional executive leaders and the role will partner closely with the Business Finance Lead for SEA Retail.

The Finance Business Partner / Commercial Finance Manager is accountable for influencing business decisions aligned to Kerry’s strategy and will support the management of business performance and have a strong understanding of commercial implications of financial decisions in the short, medium and longer term. This role will operate as a key connector across operations, commercial, R&D and finance to ensure end-to-end profitability management through top-line growth, margin management, cost wedge management and strong EBITDA growth in line with APMEA and SEA growth targets. The Finance Business Partner will provide financial insight, challenge & influence to support objectives and goals for the Business to ensure key operational, commercial and financial targets are achieved to help drive commercial success.

Key responsibilities

Driving accountability with the Indonesia Retail Lead, providing insights and transparency on business performance against ambitious growth targets specifically on revenue and margin growth and strong EBITDA growth through cost management.

Aligning and embedding Kerry’ global growth strategy into local markets, where relevant, by highlighting performance against leading indicators such as new business growth and customer activity in areas identified as a strategic growth priority.

Drive key projects to boost EBITDA profitability across the business through collaboration with various business functions.

Responsible for Pricing and Margin Management to assigned business, provide complete oversight with Strategic Pricing Leads over pricing and margin management for the relevant market. Ensuring highest level of profitability with reference to specific technology, commodity movements, raw material coverage, customer segment and competitor set. Key responsibilities include pricing efficiency and accuracy and successful implementation of periodic price increases.

Manage senior level relationships across the local & sub-region landscape; mobilise sub-regional / regional support as required to grow and innovate, ensuring that Kerry is positioned as the most valued partner to it’s customers.

Partner and support the business in leading progress and performance aligned to strategy. Providing review, challenge, input & insight into performance reports and agreeing actions / changes to the plan.

Drive efficiency in working capital which involves inventory management, trade payables, cash collection from our customers by working closely with commercial team as well relevant Global Shared Service (GBS) Teams.

Ensure Finance is adhering to compliance, risk & control requirements through accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Contribute to identifying talent for pivotal roles from a succession management standpoint to enable continuity.

Partner and collaborate closely with the relevant Global and Regional teams to ensure finance best practices are applied across all applicable processes, and identify opportunities for end-to-end process improvement and simplification.

Support as required in CAPEX projects linked to the Indonesia Retail business in terms of board approval decks, ROI analysis and spend management support.

Key Accountabilities

Participate in, input into, and drive EUM / Sub-Region / Country strategy alignment and prioritisation sessions, partnering with EUM / Sub-regional / Country Leads in delivery of regional strategies linked to our business growth aspirations.

Ensure business performance is accurately recorded and reported, working closely and collaborating across Finance Centre’s of Excellences (CoEs) and Integrated Ops to drive sustainable EBITDA growth.

Support the interpretation of financial information and insights (forward-looking, strategic, knowledge-based insight across e.g. financial data, financial legislation, financial policies) to support strategic decisions and effectively translate this impact to business leaders for their priority area to deliver growth to Kerry.

Drive informed decision making by providing direction and insight on margin, price, cost, working capital management and drive capital investment through EUM and Sub-Region priorities.

Drive benefits for the business, while minimising risk by reviewing investment proposals & business cases, ensuring capex spend is appropriate & will provide commercial value.

Support & challenge proposed M&A opportunities aligned with the regional EUM growth strategies working with Regional FD/ CFO / EUM or Sub Regional leads where required to input into key investment decisions.

Qualifications and skills

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of finance business partnering/finance manager preferably within the FMCG Industry.

Communicate effectively in English (spoken and written communication).

Strong finance background with commercial experience/business acumen.

Strong leadership, management, strategic planning and analytical skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
