The Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for assisting with the implementation of new systems, upgrades, migrations, and modifications for Markel’s global VDI platform and End Point Management platform - Intune. The Infrastructure Engineer will ensure that change management and defined security procedures for all assigned systems are executed in accordance with best practices and client policies and procedures. The Infrastructure Engineer will analyze monitoring and maintenance data and implement changes as required to achieve optimum performance. He/she will also make and implement recommendations for resources required to maintain and/or expand service levels.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Maintain our current Citrix Cloud infrastructure.

Stay current with Microsoft technology and End Point Management via Intune.

Support application packaging across the environment – Citrix to M365 Intune.

Support and troubleshoot application deployment in Intune.

Support and maintain the publishing of new applications and virtual desktops.

Participates in Disaster Recovery exercises including planning and executing phases.

Coordinate and participate in VDI image regression testing.

Coordinating with application teams to resolve technical issues with new or updated applications within VDI and/or Intune and our laptop environment.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Participate in a 24X7 on call rotation.

Position Requirements:

2+ years of experience implementing, managing, and migrating VDI environments using Citrix technologies.

3+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows 20xx Server with working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, network connectivity with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and wireless.

2+ years of experience with O365/M365 and endpoint/Intune management.

Strong knowledge of Citrix technologies: XenApp 6.x & 7.x, XenDesktop 7.x, Provisioning Services 6.x, and Citrix StoreFront.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Technologies: Server 2008, 2012 & 2016, Windows 7/10, and SCCM management.

2+ years working with various virtualization technologies including Citrix, Hyper-V, VMware, and Nutanix.

Knowledgeable with Citrix Workspace concepts and deployment

Experience with PowerShell scripting.

Experience with profile management solutions including, UPM, RES Workspace and AppSense

ITIL Certification or experience working in an ITIL environment preferred.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Experience with Service Now and Jira for tracking of projects and work.

Travel Requirement of 10%-20% depending on projects
