Role Summary:

This role is responsible for reviewing the customer inputs, understanding the job scope, generating GA drawings, BOM’s, component drawings/ models and performing engineering analysis/calculations. Responsible for clean order execution on engineering & design in coordination with regional representatives and aligning to the global requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Implements engineering best practices and Flowserve standards, reviews new standards and identifies gaps

• Generates bills of material and manufacturing drawings for engineered products

• Supports customers by providing technical solutions support

• Conducts engineering analysis under supervision on areas such as hydraulic design, vibration, gear design, software and hardware design and FEA structural and dynamic analysis

• Execute special engineering task involves re-engineering, schedule driven projects, retrofit jobs, upgrading to current design standards, new product development

• Perform ATS related Engineering task which involve special design for engineered application.

• Demonstrates adequate knowledge on auxiliary systems associated with mechanical seal

• Conduct Engineering analysis under supervision

• Maintains Certified Designer status

• Identify and implement process improvement initiatives/ projects

• Demonstrate the acquired credentials in par with skill matrix expectations

• Checking the correctness of the designs originated by associates and other to ensure error free issue to downstream functions.

Requirements:

• Engineering Diploma in Mechanical/Production discipline or Equivalent (Minimum 3-year course) with 7+ years of experience in engineering industries OR Engineering Graduate with 3-5years of experience in engineering industries preferably with Seal industry or Rotating equipment allied industry experience

• Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) methodology understanding

• Design for Manufacture (DFM) methodology

• Cross-functional knowledge of pressure vessel manufacturing, Welding, NDE

• Strong team building, organization, administration, communication, problem solving, influencing, and facilitating skills is required to manage and interact with all facility personnel, affiliates across globe and customers

• Fluency in Verbal and Written "English" communication

• Proficiency in basic IT tools such as Windows, MS-Office products, and other related tools

• Collaborative Interpersonal Skills

• Professional demeanor

• Taking ownership of actions, initiating things for process betterment and passion towards learning and mentoring

• Expert in AutoCAD (2D & 3D) and 3D modelling software’s (INVENTOR/ SOLID WORKS /CREO)

• Excellent organizational and project management skills with track record of managing large projects
