Description:

Installation service of electrical systems in the commercial and residential construction markets.

Troubleshooting most common electrical systems including, but not limited to services, feeders, and branch circuits.

Direct supervision and coordination of assigned helper and apprentice electricians including the ability to teach and mentor as needed.

Excellent customer service skills, listening and assessing customer needs and providing solutions.

Job Skills:

Apply electrical and construction principles and practices to solve design, development, and modification problems with parts, assemblies provided.

Know, follow, and hold others accountable for the safety policy, program, and training of CESG.

Complete work in accordance with national and local codes. Learn and keep current with the latest revision of NEC.

Plan new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications and local electrical codes.

Prepare sketches showing the location of wiring and equipment, follow

diagrams and blueprints, ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before the completion of future walls, ceilings, and flooring.

Knowledge of whole-house generator installations

Knowledge of electric vehicle charging installations

Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit.

Splice wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads, twist or solder wires together, and apply tape or terminal caps.

Connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment.

Install control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels.

Connect power cables to equipment, such as electric range or motor, and install

grounding leads.

Observe the functioning of installed equipment or system to detect hazards and the need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.

Repair faulty equipment or systems.

Load materials, dig trenches, pull wire through conduit, and other tasks needed to complete the project.

Report to project worksite on time and ready to work.

Exhibit a willingness to apply oneself, learn, and develop electrical skills. Fulfill daily commitments and stay on project schedule as directed by job-site foreman.

Treat all customers, trades personnel, vendors, fellow workers, etc. with dignity and respect.

Keep the job site clean and clutter-free during the work. Leave a clean and clear work area prior to leaving.

Complete paperwork including timecard and turn in when required.

Travel is a must.

Complete other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

High School Graduate or G.E.D. equivalent.

4 years experience in electrical project installations.

Advanced electrical knowledge is required.

The position requires electricians' hand tools.

Ability to work with hands, and multi-task.

A valid state motor vehicle operator's license & clean driving record Applicable state certification.
