Job Summary:

Tri-County International Trucks in Warren is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Truck Service Manager. This is a full-time, salaried administrative position in the Medium & Heavy Duty truck industry, working at our dealership in Warren, Michigan. As the Truck Service Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our service department, including managing a team of mechanics, ensuring efficient and timely repairs, and maintaining quality customer service.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the service department

- Hire, train, and manage a team of mechanics and service technicians

- Schedule and assign work to ensure efficient and timely completion of repairs

- Ensure all repairs are of high quality and adhere to safety standards

- Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed

- Maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing any concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner

- Analyze and manage department budgets and expenses

- Implement and enforce safety procedures and protocols

- Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements

- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback to employees

- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless workflow and customer experience

Requirements:

- Bachelor's or Associates degree in Business Administration is preferred, Automotive Technology, or a related field preferred. Will look at experience as an alternative.

- Previous experience in a management role, preferably in the auto industry

- Strong leadership skills and ability to effectively manage and motivate a team

- Excellent organizational and time management skills

- Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance processes

- Understanding of budgeting and financial principles

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and knowledge of industry-specific software
