Job Description – HR Business Partner, Japan

Location: Tokyo, Japan

Report to: AP HR Manager

Understand business needs and identify appropriate solutions effectively. Plan and implement HR initiatives in support of business goals and strategies. Provides strategic business partner and employee services to Japan business and function groups.

Responsibilities:

Translate Chemours HR strategy to site specific plans and make sure action plans are executed

Collaborate with Japan team to cultivate an environment to make Chemours Japan the greatest place to work

Collaborate with HR team at Mitsui Chemours Fluoroproducts (MCF, joint venture with Mitsui Chemical) through sharing the best practice of Chemours such as employee engagement and talent development.

Partner with Japan leadership team on planning and implementing organization, talent and culture development initiatives

Provide a full HR service to Japan team, including but not limited to talent acquisition, performance management, compensation and benefits, payroll administration, employee wellness, Workday, etc.

Develop, update and implement local HR policies/procedures as needed

Responsible for local compliance of HR practice

Connect with AP and global HR team and participate in Global HR projects and workstreams

Requirements:

Degree in Human Resources or relevant areas

8+ years of HR experience in a multinational environment, people management experience is preferred

In-depth knowledge and experience in organization development, and in one of the following areas – talent management, talent development, compensation and benefits, employment relation and talent acquisition

Business acumen

Potential to lead HR team in MCF joint venture (350 million USD revenue, 400+ employees, 2 Manufacturing plants and 1 R&D center)

Strong communication, collaboration and influencing skills

Self-motivated with can do-attitude

Proficient in verbal and written English
