Onsite Representative / Tech Support for Washington DC metro area, Veterans Affairs Medical Centers and Associated Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs)

SDV Office Systems, LLC (dba SDV Medical) was founded in 2016 to provide services and products that make Veteran’s lives better at VA health facilities. SDV Medical provides quality medical devices, supplies, and furniture that are critical to our Veteran’s health and well-being. The Medical Division of the company began selling medical devices and supplies in early 2020. The company continues to grow as more and more medical devices are sold. It is time for us to expand our onsite presence at the VAMC's in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. For this reason, we are looking for a professional representative to be onsite and provide technical support in the region. This position is critical to accomplishing our mission without sacrificing the quality for the customer and the Veteran.

Position Description

The general purpose for this position is to maintain and optimize the PAR Excellence Weight Based Inventory Management System located at the VA Medical Centers in the Washington DC metropolitan area. You will be troubleshooting communication and hardware issues on the devices within the VA facilities, using your knowledge from training and Par Excellence’s Technical Support team via phone/email. Your training will consist of 1-2 weeks in Cincinnati, combined with on-the-job training. Daily, you will be based out of the VA Medical Center in DC and your travel will include visiting the 8 VA Medical locations that have the Par Excellence technology installed when needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Overseeing the day-to-day management of the PAR Excellence technology at the respective VA Medical Centers and Community Based Outreach Centers (CBOCs).

Daily Maintenance of the PAR Bins systems includes but not limited to:

Checking the status reports and resolving issues.

Adding or deleting items in the software system.

Physically adjusting or repairing the hardware.

Provide data analytics for PAR Levels, product descriptions and units of measurement.

Review and analyze the reports and provide feedback to the VA and PAR.

Primary source of continuity for training the staff on both the hardware and software.

Work with the PAR Excellence technical support team to assist you with resolving issues while on-site with the customer.

Assist the Implementation and/or Assigned Project Managers with the overall project management and documentation.

Provide weekly reports of what was completed throughout the week and a preview of the upcoming week to management.

MUST be detailed and thorough, as your analysis determines the proper functioning of the technology.

Basis Qualifications:

Able to work with minimal direction; you will be the go-to-person for the PAR technology and equipment.

Able to lift up to 50lbs.

Ability to work independently on-site, whilst professionally interacting and training the hospital staff.

Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized as you move between the facilities.

Excellent oral and written communication and patience in doing so.

MUST be able to navigate between various types of personalities at the hospitals.

Microsoft Office experience preferred.

Required Education and Credentials:

Bachelor's degree preferred or other professional certifications or training in IT required.

IT and Technology background.

At least 3 years of healthcare supply chain experience a plus.

Healthcare Capital Equipment Installation experience a plus.

Must have:

A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Candidate must complete a satisfactory background check to be an SDV employee.

*Candidate must then complete the VA Medical Center's screening process, which is an additional detailed background check. In order to obtain a government issued identification card (PIV), you must provide the VA network with a full set of fingerprints. You must pass their qualifications to obtain the PIV card, so you can work in their medical centers. If you do not pass their screening process, then you can't become an employee of SDV for this position.*
