Description:

Chef required for a well-established Australian business “EK COFFEE PTY LTD” trading as “ONE BY ONE” located at 37 McFarlane Street, Keilor East VIC 3033. Prospective applicants must have good prior experience of working commercially as a chef. Duties include.

Preparing various food items from the Cafe’s menu that includes vegetarian, non-vegetarian, and seafood dishes.

Monitor the kitchen staff during the Pre-cooking preparations such as washing, trimming, carving, chopping, peeling, cutting, stirring, mixing, mincing, grilling, and boiling foods such as various meats, seafood, vegetables, and fruits.

Supervise the kitchen staff during all stages of food preparation.

Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies.

Plan staff rosters and train new staff.

Maintaining the standards of kitchen sanitation and enforcing hygiene regulations to all kitchen staff.

In Return, for your commitment and skills, you will receive a competitive salary package (70K – 80K plus Super) and receive ongoing training with the opportunity to develop your skills. Applicants with formal qualifications (AQF Diploma of Hospitality) and 2 years of practical experience working as a CHEF will be prioritised. Position is available full time, 38 hours/week but applicant must be available for 7 days/week and willing to work odd hours (Weekend & early shifts).
