The Service Engineering Organization works closely with various engineering, reliability, and operations teams to create field service procedures and validate new HW integration, enabling service readiness to support fleet wide rollouts and upgrades. Our team is spread across and supports multiple locations throughout the US. The Service Engineering team has an integral role in facilitating Engineering development and Operational field support efficacy

We’re searching for a Service Engineer to join Aurora’s Service Engineering team.

In this role, you will:

Work closely with engineering and inventory teams to manage and maintain our service bill of materials

Support field service procedure creation and automation

Manage incoming and ongoing fleet upgrades and rollouts

Communicate metrics and fleet status updates cross functionally

Understand serviceability and support “design for service” efforts

Perform on vehicle repairs and validations

Assist and support diagnostic engineering efforts on and off vehicle

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or 4+ years work experience in technical AV/EV/Automotive field

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Proficient with Jira, Confluence, and G-suite, including docs, slides, and sheets

Proficient with Windows/Macintosh software

Intermediate knowledge of 3D CAD programs such as CATIA and Solidworks

Intermediate knowledge of control module and sensor serviceability

Intermediate technical/hands on experience with hand and power tools

Familiarity with Linux operating systems and Python

Desirable Qualifications:

Solid technical aptitude and an ability to understand technical designs, challenges and risks

Willing to travel

Ability and willingness to perform tasks and projects that are outside scope of the “day-to-day” roles and responsibilities listed above

Ability to juggle multiple high priority tasks and projects simultaneously

Excellent attention to detail

Strong ability to communicate (verbal and written) succinctly and effectively to various global audiences at all levels

Self starter with the ability to show urgency

Leadership qualities and abilities to foster teamwork

The hourly wage range for this position is $37.75 - $56.75 per hour. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
