Structural Analysis

PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking a Structural Analysis-Stress/DADT/Dynamics/FEA/FEM, in Palmdale, CA.

Must have an Active Secret Clearance

(1 year+ Contract)

Job Description:

-Uses computational methods and tools in a specialized field (strength of metallic and composite structures, finite element analysis, fatigue and damage tolerance, etc.).

-Responsible for establishing structural specifications and performing structural analysis on new designs of primary and secondary airframe structure.

-Experience in stress analysis of subsystems and subsystems installations desired.

-Required experience with structural mechanics simulation software including NASTRAN and PATRAN.

-Experience using Altair HyperMesh as a pre-processor and TMP Vision for post-processing desired.

- Experience with CATIA V5/3DX highly desired.

-Familiarity with UNIX/LINUX operating systems.

-Candidate must be capable of interpreting detail, assembly, and installation type drawings and models.

Required Minimum skills:

1. Airframe primary structure layout and sizing

2. Hand/Excel based analysis of aerospace structures

3. NASTRAN and PATRAN or HyperMesh

-Familiarity with Slim, Vision, and IDAT a plus
