This newly developed role will lead the design of PEP’s next generation facility aiming to reduce costs of both brownfield & greenfield projects to deliver capital avoidance. Main objectives are listed below:

Reduce PEP greenfield project costs by 15 – 25% vs the current project costs across PEP internationally while maintaining the baseline functionality with TCO lens and meeting PEP compliance requirements for key areas like Food Safety, Safety, FM Global, Sustainability, Environmental, etc.

Design modular cell facilities to enable phased expansion in an effective cost structure and support the definition of optimal network for the markets / BUs / regions.

Define and develop new technical solutions, construction metholodigies and methods to lower the costs through close collaboration with relevant parties.

Bring sustainability in design and re-establish PepsiCo’s Civil & Mechanical Engineering Standards in parttership with external engineering colsuntants

Create global / regional partnerships for 3PL solutions to develop Asset Lise designs.

Responsibilities

Lead the design of Next Generation Facility for PEP to reduce the cost of greenfield projects by 15 – 25% across PEP internationally.

Scout, evaluate, verify, validate and deploy new construction technologies / methodologies and materials to be utilized for PEP’s existing and future greenfield projects / sites.

Work closely with Sector engineering teams to implement the newly defined solutions and technologies on relevant projects.

Development, ownership and governance of all new next generation facility related engineering technical standards for compliance.

Develop and establish the new engineering technical standards, specifications and procedures for the next generation facility.

Support the alignment with relevant Sector engineering teams.

Improve / update the existing Civil & Mechnanical standards based on changes and further developments around sustainability, digital, modularization and low cost construction initiatives

Work closely with global and Sector (when relevant) Quality, EHS, Sustainability teams for the specific aspects of the new solutions and to secure SME validation.

Lead the capability agenda for the next generation facility solutions across PEP; and plan, initiate and execute relevant forums with Sector engineering teams.

Partner with relevant teams including GP to ensure the confidentiality of all developed solutions and also key supplier relationships are maintained for the competitive benefit of PepsiCo.

Establish internal Civils & Infrastructure CoE forum, orchestrating sharing the knwlodge sharing and bestractices in between the sector engineering teams

Participate in global civils & infrastructure forums and exhibitions to identify new solutions for PEP’s future greenfield projects.

Qualifications

Technical degree in Engineering, civils preferred.

10+ years engineering experience in food and beverage industry with proven track record.

5+ years project management experience; preferably with investments of $10 – 50MM.

In depth knowledge of engineering projects management across multiple disciplines (mechanical, electrical & automation, civils, utilities, etc.).

Strong international network within construction industry, seen as a credible professional within the field.

Ability to coach and develop others through engineering capability building events.

Business and customer mindset with strong financial system understanding.

Experience in multiple geographies and businesses with understanding of global business in developed and developing markets.

Cultural sensitivity and cross-cultural exposure to support international teams.

Demonstrated success in driving strategic agenda through cross functional, matrixed and international organization with ability to influence senior and peer stakeholders.

Team player, self motivating, able to deal with uncertainty and complexity, strong analytical skills.

Able to build trusting relationships, lead, inspire and manage technical partners within and outside PEP.

Result oriented and acting with integrity.
