Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible to assist the Manager in overall pricing and commercial activities of the assigned trade to drive profitability through balancing optimized loadings with maximal revenue. He/she will be commercially astute and be able to identify new business opportunities and generate sales leads where possible.

Main Responsibilities:

Create and build new business development opportunities as per company’s Line strategy

Identify client requirements and propose internal capabilities and resources to meet client’s needs

Participate in RFQ (request-for-quotation) process from clients

Liaise closely and build strategic relationships with client stakeholders

Function as the internal client representative and manage client information within the company

Respond to all client-related matters, from contractual agreements, service performance, to service enhancements and new business opportunities etc.

Perform and plan necessary reviews on business eg QBR (quarterly business review)

Key entry point for all Through BL (TBL – inland haulage) matters. Responsible to drive TBL volumes for Asia-Africa trade.

Prepare reports, market studies, competitor analysis and perform other tasks as required by Management

Occasional travel required to the designated countries.

Any other ad hoc projects as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

Degree or above, preferably in shipping, logistics management or business administration;

3 - 5 years of relevant working experience

Solid working experience preferably in pricing management or all related activities in regional / principal level in shipping industry
