The production manager owns the production and raw material warehouse function tasks including planning, organizing, directing and controlling the operation activities, and ensures production packaging and warehouse delivery are compliant to the guidelines of manufacturing practice and safety regulation. The production manager is also supposed to oversee and monitor the performance of Shanghai Plant Operations as relates to safety, quality, productivity, cost control, operator mentoring, coaching, learning and leadership development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage packaging workshops and raw material warehouse’s production plan and supervise the execution to ensure the on-time daily products delivery in consideration of safety, quality, efficiency and cost.

Analyze and manage departmental costs and variances regarding productivity, short and long-range planning, labor scheduling, product scheduling, raw materials, packaging supplies and housekeeping.

Lead and oversee the implementation of the DSM (Daily Standard Management) system, APT (self-maintenance team) activities and improve continuously using lean tools to maintain high performance and eliminate losses.

Carry out ISO9000 and ISO14000 systems through regular review and implementation to ensure smooth operation of the system and control of related production activities.

Cooperate with maintenance to carry out maintenance plan so to ensure stable operation of production equipment and reduce shutdown loss.

Work with cross-departments of Quality, Engineering, Lean, SHE, HR and Finance etc. in finding innovative ways to improve the quality and productivity of our products

Proactively identify potential issues that prevents the site from meeting the targets and develop corrective action plans necessary to achieve productivity continuous improvement

Drive delivery of site objectives, operational improvements, metrics tracking and adoption of best practices leveraging team members and peers

Responsible to increase efficiency of warehouse operations to reduce costs and improve productivity

Manage production and raw material warehouse operators’ performance, disciplinary, grievance, skill and career development

Drive operator engagement and foster a great place to work

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree with at least eight years direct experience in in FMCG manufacturing industry with leadership and cohesion.

Demonstrated ability to lead and coach people and teams

Excellent leadership skills and able to communicate clear objectives, provide feedback, implement improvements for team and individuals’ performance.

Ability to make decisions and solve problems while exhibiting situational judgement

Result oriented leadership approach

Operational Excellence and Lean Manufacturing mindset

Have ISO9000, ISO14000, SHE, 5S, TWI, and related knowledge.

Good communication and presentation skills, able to work under high pressure.

Proficient in English listening, reading and writing.

Proactive, responsible, professional and team player.
