Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY
Maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
DESCRIPTION
Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger.
Prepares balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports.
Analyzes current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.
Obtain and maintain an understanding of our client’s organization/business, including their processes and procedures, the set-up of their financial reporting and general ledger structure.
Ensure a timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
Guide accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
Maintain financial security by following internal controls.
Answer accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policies and regulations.
Comply with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
Support budget and forecasting activities of our clients.
Maintain client confidence and protect operations by keeping financial information confidential.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
