We are currently offering up to $10,000 in retention bonuses for experienced ER RN's.
$3 night and $4 weekend pay differentials.

About the Emergency Department at HMC:
The Emergency Department at Hopedale Medical Complex is a comprehensive, modern, multidisciplinary center staffed to treat the needs of adults and children with life-threatening illnesses and injuries. The Emergency Department has 4 state-of-the-art rooms. HMC's Emergency Department is proud that it serves approximately 2,000 patients annually, assisting them in their time of need. Using the skills and expertise of general practitioners and highly trained specialists, the HMC Emergency Department physicians and nurses are prepared to care for seriously ill and injured patients 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The HMC Emergency Department will diagnose emergency conditions and undertake acute interventions to stabilize patients.
This often includes:
Emergency/Trauma resuscitation
Surgery
Intensive care of most trauma patients
Advanced cardiac life support
Advanced airway management
Management of drug overdoses
Broken limbs
Allergic reactions
Job Description
The ER Registered Nurse in our hospital provides planned and highly skilled nursing care for the patient. The RN will assist the physicians and other team members as directed by the supervisor. The shift is 6pm to 6:30 am, with rotating weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities:
4 bed Emergency room, Hopedale is not a trauma hospital.
Teamwork heavily focused to promote better patient experience & high quality of care
Deliver nursing care as needed.
Assess and document patient status.
Carry out treatments and/or orders.
Assist in positioning and/or transporting the patient.
Record treatment, comments and notes as necessary on the appropriate patient chart, alerting other personnel to all orders, problems, and other pertinent information.
Discharge patients to home or other appropriate place accordingly and per physician's order.
Requirements:
Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program
Valid Illinois nursing license is required
Current CPR/AED card (or willing to obtain upon hire) is required
ER experience is preferred, but not required

Physical Demands
Must be able to speak and understand English language.
Must be able to lift and turn patients of all ages and sizes.
Must be able to lift OR patient from gurney to bed.
Must be able to deal with families of critically ill patients.
Must be able to communicate well with physicians.
Must be able to work side by side with physicians at critical times such as code blue.
