The HR Business Partner is responsible for setting, enforcing, and evaluating legally compliant human resource policies, procedures and best practices, and identifying and implementing long-range strategic talent management goals. In addition, the HRBP is responsible for aligning team members and management in designated business units with business objectives. The position formulates partnerships with delivery and operational business units across the HR function to deliver value-added services to management and team members that reflect the organization's business objectives. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's and company's financial position, midrange plans, culture, and competition.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position oversees the Company's Talent Management and Talent Acquisition department.

Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations for direct reports.

Handles discipline and termination of team members in accordance with company policy as needed.

Duties/ Responsibilities

Collaborates with executive leadership to define the organization's long-term mission and goals: identify ways to support this mission through talent management.

Provides expertise and hands-on support in multiple areas, including workforce planning, onboarding, team member retention, team member relations, management coaching, performance management, and change management.

Researches, develops, and implements competitive compensations, benefits, performance appraisal and team member incentive programs.

Provides guidance and leadership to the Talent Management and Talent Acquisition teams.

Serves as a key resource in developing, administering, and maintaining HR policies/procedures.

Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.

Manages and resolves mid-level to complex team member relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.

Handles general team member relations escalations including but not limited to conflict resolution, performance management, and mediation.

Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to the day-to-day management of team members, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Proactively identify and assess potential legal risks and act to ensure compliance. Partner with Legal and advise Leadership team as needed.

Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.

Strategize and partner with Leadership, Talent Management, and Talent Acquisition to promote team member engagement initiatives at the company to build morale, increase productivity and retention, and increase recruiting effectiveness.

Develop and Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the Talent Management and Talent Acquisition teams to develop solutions, programs, and policies.

Participates in evaluating and monitoring training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.

Supported the design and development of corporate initiatives and duties as assigned programs.

Required Skills/Abilities

Knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, team member relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state-respective employment laws.

Experience with Government Contracting.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to thoroughly understand the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Prolonged periods of sitting/standing at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

U.S Citizenship required

Nice to Have Skills

Master's degree or other advanced degree in a related field preferred.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors Degree

Minimum 8 years of related experience

Certified by HRCI as PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM as SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP preferred or advanced degree in a related field.

Travel Requirement:

Occasional travel may be required

Clearance Requirement:

Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance
