Code Compliance Supervisor ISSUE DATE: 05/08/2024 CLOSING DATE: OUF LOCATION: Code Compliance Regular Full-Time Non-Exempt Vacancy Anticipated Hiring Range: $24.37 - $30.46 If you have any issues with the application system, please contact Workbright's customer service department at DEFINITION: The purpose of this job/class within the organization is to manage and supervise Code Compliance Officers and duties to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of the City.

This job/class works independently, under limited supervision, reporting major activities through periodic meetings.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Not all-inclusive): Supervises Code Compliance Officers; maintains scheduling, assigns duties, provides training, handles discipline and evaluations.

Monitors and assigns complaints received via email from directors and City Manager.

Conducts routine field operations; leads officers on cases in the field; provides onsite guidance and direction and ensures all ordinances are followed.

Responsible for enforcing all regulatory chapters of the Code of Ordinances enacted by the City Commission to protect the health, safety and welfare of the entire community.

Handles and speaks with residents with issues involving officers or possible violations or concerns that they may have with ordinances or conduct of officers.

Conducts presentations for public and private organizations; continually educates the resident community on Code of Ordinance requirements and responsible pet ownership and control.

Reviews officer's documents and reports prior to being submitted to Administration; ensures accuracy and completion of paperwork.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent supplemented by specialized courses/training equivalent to completion of one year of college in law enforcement, city ordinance compliance or closely related field.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Requires a driver's license valid in the State of Florida.

Requires State of Florida code Level I, II, and III and Animal Cruelty Investigations Level I certifications.

Position is subject to being "on call" and working after normal City work hours as well as on weekends and holidays.
