Are you ready to take your accounting career to the next level? Our client, a dynamic private equity owned manufacturing company, is on the hunt for a Plant Controller to join their powerhouse team. If you're a numbers ninja with a passion for precision and a knack for leadership, this could be your golden opportunity!

About the Role: As the Plant Controller, you'll be at the helm of all things accounting, steering the ship towards financial success while also lending a hand in human resources functions. Here's a snapshot of what you'll be diving into:

Lead the monthly financial accounting closing process with finesse

Ensure our financial statements are not just accurate, but also punctual, month after month

Take charge of standard costing and cost accounting like a pro

Assist our financial planning and analysis team in corporate and capital budgeting, plus other analytical adventures

Manage the accounts payable and receivable function like a boss

Lead the reconciliation process for bank/cash accounts, balance sheet accounts, and inventory

Keep our fixed asset system in check, making sure capital expenditures and depreciation are accounted for correctly

Help with the year-end financial audit - because who doesn't love a good audit, right?

Manage a small but mighty team of 1-2 accounting superheroes

️ Assist with the staffing process, from recruiting to onboarding, and everything in between

Develop training materials and performance management programs to keep our team on track and thriving

Tackle employee issues and conflicts head-on, bringing them to resolution like a true problem-solving pro

Ensure our organization stays squeaky clean when it comes to local, state, and federal regulations

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA preferred

5+ years of professional experience in accounting

Excel wizardry is a must; PowerPoint, Word, and the rest of the MS Office Suite are your trusty sidekicks

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a big plus
