Louis, MOExamination Number: EX1060%3Co:p%3EIncumbents in this position are responsible for handling complex civil litigation matters at the trial and appellate levels in both state court and federal court in the area of employment litigation and civil rights.

Duties include researching and preparing for trials before judges and juries, conducting discovery, arguing motions and participating in all phases of said trials.

This position provides legal advice and opinions to City departments, working directly with department heads, commissioners, and members of the Mayor%26rsquo;s staff.

●This attorney will handle highly complex civil litigation matters at the trial and appellate levels in both state court and federal court in the area of employment litigation and civil rights.

●This attorney must possess significant civil litigation experience in the area of municipal law at the administrative level and at the trial and appellate levels in state court and federal court.

●This attorney must possess extensive knowledge of municipal transactions, including real estate transactions.

●This attorney must possess excellent research and writing skills.

●This attorney will prepare for trials before judges and juries, conducting discovery, arguing motions and participating in all phases of said trials.

●This attorney will research and prepare appellate briefs and argue appeals at all appellate levels in the state court and the federal court.

●This attorney will provide legal advice and opinions to City departments, working directly with department heads, commissioners, and members of the Mayor%27s staff.

●This attorney will receive assignments directly from the Deputy City Counselor or City Counselor.
