Maintenance 1 - 2nd Shift

Join the team at Hersheypark Camping Resort, campground located a few miles down the road from Hersheypark amusement park that features log and deluxe cabins, tent sites, and partial and full-hookup sites.

This position is responsible for maintaining clean and safe conditions of the buildings and grounds at the Hersheypark Camping Resort.

Maintenance I employees will have the opportunity to progress to Maintenance II & III positions respectively based on experience and skill level.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job): * Filling Propane & RV Tanks* * Stocking and maintaining firewood supply in the woodshed to capacity* * Stocking and maintaining firewood and fire starter kindling stocked in the store area* * Stocking and maintaining store ice machine to capacity* * Empty trash and recycle containers around the property including public spaces, patios, bathhouses, and parking areas* * Cleaning fire pits & picking up trash* * Maintain clean and safe grounds conditions around the patio, barn, and pool areas * * Assisting Maintenance II & III with tasks as needed * Assist Grounds Maintenance with groundskeeping tasks (to include weeding and watering) as needed * Other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor Qualifications: * Must be at least 18 years of age or older * Must have a valid driver's license Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: * Knowledge of tools in the fields of lighting, electricity, plumbing * Ability to operate a tractor and forklift * Ability to drive a golf cart and/ or company vehicle if required * Organizational skills * Positive, professional employee and guest relations skills * Capable of working alone and as a team.

Must be a self-starter * Ability to handle multiple priorities at once * Ability to understand instructions, both written and verbal Job Demands: * Must be able to work second shift hours (2 pm to 10:30 pm or 3 pm to 11:30 pm) including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

* Physical requirements include complete mobility and good physical conditioning, good hearing and vision, and the ability to tolerate heat and work in adverse weather conditions * Ability to stand, walk, squat, lift, and climb ladders; must be able to stand/walk at least 90% of shift * Proper footwear must be provided by employee- uniform shirt will be provided * Must be able to push/pull/lift a maximum of 60 lbs.
