Accounting Intern

We are seeking a highly motivated and driven Accounting Intern to join our team at FLANDERS.

This internship opportunity offers hands-on experience in the manufacturing industry and the chance to contribute to meaningful projects that drive operational excellence within our facility.

As an Accounting Intern, you will work closely with our experienced team members to support various aspects of the manufacturing and financial processes to gain valuable insights into the operations of a dynamic business.

This opportunity will be onsite at our Evansville, IN facility.

Responsibilities: * Utilize accounts payable (A/P) concepts, practices, and procedures.

* Research vendor statements for past due invoices and compare against receiving for past due purchase orders.

* Ensure approvals on each invoice adheres to approval authority matrix if not on PO.

* File and/or scan A/P check stubs, invoices, and receiving documents.

* Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.

* Perform general ledger reconciliations.

* Assist with sales and use tax filings.

* Assist with reviewing expense reports.

* Assist the Receptionist with the switchboard.

* Work on additional special projects as needed.

* Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in accounting or finance.

* Strong attention to detail * Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office * Possesses excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
