Lead Engineer - Steel Structure

Parsons is seeking a highly experienced Lead Engineer – Steel Structure to oversee the steel structure design and construction aspects of an iconic oceanarium project in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The Lead Steel Structure Engineer will play a pivotal role in shaping the architectural integrity, safety, and functionality of this iconic structure.

**What You'll Be Doing:**

+ Lead and provide technical expertise in the steel structure design process from conception to completion, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and specifications.

+ Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and project managers to develop innovative and cost-effective steel structure solutions that meet project objectives.

+ Conduct structural analyses, feasibility studies, and risk assessments to optimize design performance and mitigate potential challenges.

+ Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents using industry-standard software tools.

+ Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and construction teams throughout the project lifecycle.

+ Coordinate with external consultants, contractors, and vendors to procure materials, equipment, and services as per project requirements.

+ Conduct on-site inspections, quality control checks, and structural integrity assessments to ensure compliance with design specifications and regulatory requirements.

+ Resolve design conflicts, field modifications, and construction issues in a timely and efficient manner, maintaining project schedule and budgetary constraints.

**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**

+ Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field

+ Minimum of 18 years of progressive experience in steel structure design and construction.

+ Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS, or STAAD.Pro.

**What Desired Skills You'll Bring:**

+ Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and coordinating complex engineering projects from concept to completion.

+ Familiarity with sustainable construction practices, green building initiatives, and LEED certification is desirable.
