Job Description

Objective

The Senior Financial Planning Analyst will play a key role in our financial planning process, leveraging expertise to provide insightful analysis and strategic analysis. With strong analytical skills and industry knowledge, and the support of the Director of PF&A, this role will support financial objectives while making well informed, data-driven decisions that may impact the company's financial performance and bottom-line results.

Essential Functions

Develop an in-depth understanding of the company's operations to gain an overall perspective of the business, interdependences of assumptions, and expected financial outcomes and risks.

Partner with the Director of FP&A to maintain the company's financial model, making enhancements as needed to improve accuracy of multi-year forecasts.

Support implementation of new strategic initiatives based on data analysis and monitor/track results accordingly.

Analyze large, complex data sets utilizing data mining and statistical techniques to identify, interpret and model trends or patterns.

Develop recommendations and present analysis to management in a clear, concise, convincing, and actionable format.

Develop and test multiple hypotheses using results from analyses to generate and answer questions leading to more in-depth understanding of the business issue(s) and risks being evaluated.

Produce a high-quality forecast model in a clear format that highlights actionable data points using tables, charts, and text.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with key business leaders to assess their financial goals, objectives, and risk tolerance.

Develop comprehensive financial plans tailored to business needs and circumstances.

Stay abreast of market trends, economic indicators, and regulatory changes to inform financial planning strategies.

Assist in the preparation of business presentations and communications, explaining complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner.

Work closely with cross-functional teams to support business development initiatives and enhance client relationships.

Mentor junior analysts and contribute to their professional development within the organization.

Qualifications

Education: Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, related field or equivalent work experience

Work Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in an analytical role with tSQL and Power BI experience

Physical Requirements

Must be able to remain in a stationary position during the workday.

The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.

The person in this position frequently communicates with staff and customers who have inquiries. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

Must be able to lift or carry up to 10 pounds on occasion.

The person in this position will work in an office environment.
