Torque and Test Operator

Job Description

We are currently looking for a Sr. Level as well as entry level Torque and Test Operators to join our team. This job will require close supervision for the first several days on the job or until you are able to demonstrate you can successfully complete the duties on your own. This opportunity is only for the individual who is ready to perform work that requires physical effort in outdoor elements. It's only for someone who is dependable and hard working.

Required Skills:

• Drive and operate company truck and equipment to include generators, pumps, and hydraulically powered torque wrench.

• Operate gauges on pump/pressure system and be capable of moving large hoses and equipment.

• Check pipe and get all pipe specs and torques from customer representative.

• Consults with customer representative for all job information and invoices.

• Perform static torque checks

• Perform and repair to torque tools

• Perform torque layered process audit

• Responsible for reporting torque & test failures

• Responsible for ensuring a safe work environment at all times.

• Maintaining a safe work environment

• Tracking, recording, and monitoring of flange management activities including bolting tension and torquing hydro testing

• Inspecting and assuring the quality of bolt tightening tools and equipment including but not limited to hydraulic bolt tensions

• Drilling rig and production hydro-testing

• All other duties as assigned.

Qualification requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.

• Must undergo background check and DISA Drug screen

• Must be able to pass pre-employment, post-accident, random drug tests

• Must be able to follow directions and company policies

• The ability to multitask.

• The ability to work both cooperatively and independently while being self-motivated.

• Must be able to keep up with required paperwork filling out in a timely manner and turning in to the appropriate personnel.

Physical requirements:

• Must be able to lift objects up to 50 pounds.

• Must be able to stand, crawl, climb and sit for extended periods of time.

• Must be able to wear personal protective equipment such as steel toed boots, safety glasses, ear plugs and hard hats when needed.

• Must be able to work outdoors for extended periods in hot, cold, rainy and windy weather.
