Description

bringing on a contractor for 6 months to help support their Desktop Support/PC Technician team. The team consists of about 5 people. This team helps the internal employees . They take escalated calls from the helpdesk, handle the printers/MFDs, configure new computers, etc. They deploy devices to new users and are mostly a Windows 10 shop, but do have some Macs. They use ServiceNow as a ticketing system, support hardware issues, Office 365, image computers using SCCM, support printers, and more.

•Respond in a timely manner to incident tickets for end user-related support issues regarding Microsoft Windows, business applications, and hardware problems

•Set up hardware and install and configure software and drivers

•Maintain and repair computer equipment or peripheral devices

•Provide second tier support assistance when escalated from the Support Desk

WORK EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS:

• Excellent communication skills; ability to explain technical issues in terms an end user can understand

• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, PC hardware, and networking technologies

• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills

• Ability to document issues and resolution

• Ability to learn, take direction and work well within a team

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred, but high school diploma is required

Additional Information

We have 14 current contractors and have placed several people this year through direct placement. We have placed several managers as well. They have about 200 in IT.

Most of IT is remote currently, but this person is required on site M-F, first shift, as this role does involve hands on work with the equipment.

Our client on the west side of Cleveland is hiring a Desktop Support/PC Technician. This person will be responsible for escalated issues, imaging computers, hardware set up, and printer support. This is on site 5 days a week with the opportunity to go full time.

They are continuing to modernize technology including a recent move to the cloud, utilizing Office 365 more, automating, increasing security, and more. They are known to have great employee retention and tenure. The culture is very collaborative and you are able to get your hands on many things within IT, as it isn\'t as siloed as other organizations. This is budgeted for a contract right now, but they are hopeful to have FTE headcount next year and be able to keep this person and bring them on FTE. While working on site, they do have a store with food/snacks, a gym, and more.

This is a business casual environment. The IT teams often cross over with other IT teams as well as the business teams. People really enjoy working for this Sr Manager, as he is known to try to help grow careers and help his team get to where they want to be.
