We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with a focus on the Overhead Crane Industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing various electrical systems specific to cranes and runway systems. This position requires proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, or other 3D CAD design software, as well as knowledge of CMAA and ASME/ANSI Engineering Standards. Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Minimum 2 years of experience, preferably in the Overhead Crane Industry
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, and/or other 3D CAD design software
Experience designing in 3D CAD and creating 2D drawings; knowledge of 3D software preferred
Familiarity with CMAA, ASME/ANSI Engineering Standards
Understanding of structural & mechanical design as it pertains to overhead bridge cranes
Knowledge of fall protection systems
Experience with Quality Assurance/Quality Control processes
Understanding of industrial controls and electrical engineering
Strong background in physics and statics
Familiarity with machining and manufacturing principles
Knowledge of ERP software and other office software
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to identify key requirements for product development
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively Job Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the team to define, design, and develop crane and runway electrical systems according to product specifications
Analyze customer specifications to design equipment consistent with requirements
Perform product design, development, and quality assurance tasks
Create technical drawings with appropriate dimensioning and tolerancing components
Provide electrical calculations to support the development of overhead bridge cranes and runways
Select components or develop component designs as needed
Create drawings, bill of materials, test specifications, engineering change notices, etc.
Review drawings created by drafter/detailers
Assist in specifying materials, processes, and details in all phases of development and manufacturing
Provide sufficient engineering to estimate project costs
Ensure that all designs, engineering drawings, parts lists, and related documents are accurate, up-to-date, and comply with drawing standards
Support existing products through troubleshooting and implementation of corrections
Maintain a workflow that ensures timely adherence to all deadlines
Hourly Range:
$33.65/hr. - $52/hr. Shift and Hours:
Monday- Friday
8 AM- 5 PM Type of Job:
