Network Engineer

Fairfield County Hedge Fund is seeking a Network Engineer to join their Technology-Infrastructure group. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data, voice, and cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

Manage Cisco firewalls, routers, Ethernet and SAN switches.

Manage Palo Alto firewalls, review logs, and troubleshoot connectivity.

Manage Cisco Call Manager and related applications, including Webex integration.

Troubleshoot connectivity issues, including LAN, VoIP and circuits.

Install and/or upgrade equipment outside normal business hours.

Manage other voice/network/security related systems.

Communicate with IT staff and end users to resolve issues.

Requirements

2+ years of industry experience.

Experience implementing and supporting a variety of network technologies, with an emphasis on Cisco and Palo Alto, as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Experience with Telcos for installs and troubleshooting circuits.

Strong troubleshooting skills and experience dealing with vendor support to successfully resolve issues.

Experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine, Multi-Factor Authentication and SAML, Mobile Device Management, and cloud vendors, particularly AWS.

Previous experience working at a Financial Firm a big plus
