As the Plant HR Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of their manufacturing operations by leading human resources efforts within the plant facility. This role requires a seasoned HR professional with at least 5 years of experience in a plant environment, adept at managing recruitment, employee relations, engagement, performance management and other HR functions.

Plant HR Manager Responsibilities:

Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent for various positions within the plant

Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and ensure timely filling of vacancies

Conduct interviews, assess candidates, and make hiring recommendations aligned with organizational goals and values

Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts in a fair and timely manner

Provide guidance and support to supervisors and employees on HR policies, procedures and best practices

Conduct investigations into employee complaints and take appropriate corrective actions as needed

Develop and execute initiatives to enhance employee engagement and foster a positive work culture within the plant

Implement programs and activities aimed at recognizing and rewarding employee contributions

Analyze employee feedback and survey data to identify areas for improvement and implement action plans accordingly

Oversee the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations and development planning

Provide guidance to managers on performance-related matters, including coaching, feedback and performance improvement plans

Ensure compliance with performance management policies and procedures

Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations

Administer HR programs and processes, including benefits administration, leave management and employee documentation

Stay abreast of changes in HR laws and regulations and proactively update policies and practices as needed

Plant HR Manager Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field

5+ years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing or plant environment

Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices and regulations

Demonstrated experience in recruitment, employee relations, engagement and performance management

Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously

HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred
