The Production Engineer collaborates within a team comprising reservoir engineers, geologists, facility engineers, drilling engineers, and field operations personnel to optimize asset value. The main task involves enhancing oil and gas production both at the well and field levels. The successful applicant must exhibit technical prowess, ingenuity, motivation, and teamwork to innovate and enhance current artificial lift methods, intervention and completion techniques, as well as well and drill site optimization, and field operation practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead well surveillance to identify and implement production enhancement opportunities across wells, facilities, and operations.

Recognize workover/recompletion, stimulation, artificial lift, and well work prospects.

Develop Authorization for Expenditures (AFEs), cost estimates, and procedures for interventions (slickline, eline, coiled tubing, pumping, etc.), workovers, and recompletions.

Devise artificial lift systems for horizontal and vertical wells with diverse producing depths and fluid types.

Offer production engineering support for new well design and operation.

Collaborate closely with field teams to optimize artificial lift methods and troubleshoot well and facility performance.

Work within a multidisciplinary team to design new well completions for production and injection, fracture stimulation, and various artificial lift methods, including gas lift design, jet pumps, ESPs, etc., as well as facilities for hydrocarbon processing.

Recommend modifications or investments to enhance systems and reduce operating costs.

Be open to understanding regulatory requirements for executing well work, such as those stipulated by the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission.

Understand Lease Operating Statements.

Participate in well reviews with reservoir engineers, geologists, and field personnel.

Mentor less experienced engineers and interns.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (PE, ME, or ChemE) with a minimum of 5 years of production engineering experience, or equivalent.

Experience in the E&P industry.

Strong ability to interact and communicate effectively (both written and verbal) with team members, other departments, regulatory agencies, and working interest owners to define and execute value-adding work.

Display traits of a good team player, including a positive attitude, idea contribution, and collaboration to find efficient ways of extracting maximum value from assigned assets.

Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Proficient computer skills.

Preferred familiarity with industry software packages such as PROSPER, WinGUI, SCADA, Cerberus, Snap modelling.

Strong organization, facilitation, and project management skills.

Additional Qualifications:

Experience in heavy and viscous oil production operations.

Experience in conventional and unconventional reservoir operations.

Preferred experience as a well performance specialist.

Good working knowledge of drilling, completion, production, and facilities operations.
