Trial Attorney

McDonnell & Associates offers a collegial environment with opportunities to get hands on experience including trial experience. We are looking to add a litigation attorney to our team at our King of Prussia location. The position involves working with a team of lawyers on sophisticated litigation matters arising from commercial, real estate, and employment disputes. In addition to working as part of a team on commercial matters, attorneys have the opportunity to handle their own caseload of premises liability, premises security, products liability, and trucking matters. The firm offers opportunities to regularly attend court proceedings, depositions, arbitrations and trials. Attorneys also have direct client contact and interact with adversaries and clients. The responsibilities and qualifications for the position are as follows:

Responsibilities:

Represent clients in arbitration, mediation, and trials in state and federal courts

Prepare and draft discovery, pleadings and motions on behalf of clients

Drafting dispositive motion

Drafting pretrial and post-trial motions

Conduct and defend party depositions

Conduct expert discovery and depositions

Evaluate medical issues and prepare causation of injury defense

Advise clients on litigation strategy and dispute resolution plan.

Participation in mock trials and focus groups for large value matters

Negotiate settlements for legal disputes

Qualifications:

Bar license in Pennsylvania and New Jersey

Strong research and writing skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to build rapport with clients

Good verbal communication skills

Ability to work Independently

Strong organizational and case management skills
