System Control Operator

JOB TITLE: System Control Operator

REPORTS TO: Operations Shift Supervisor

DEPARTMENT: Operations

FLSA: Non-Exempt/Union

JOB TYPE: Full-time

STARTING PAY: $25.63 per hour

WORK LOCATION: Detroit, MI (In person)

EXPECTED HOURS: 40 per week

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for operating a variety of equipment and systems used in controlling automatic train movements, power distribution and system safety functions. Monitors and evaluates automatic train system performance and responds to service interruptions and other emergency conditions. Interfaces with and coordinates patron activities, security and maintenance procedures.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Familiar with DOS System

Experience monitoring CCTV's

Experience monitoring SCADA

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a valid driver's license.

Must maintain certification of Detroit People Mover task requirements.

Must pass complete physical examination and drug screen.

Must be willing to work any shift in a 24-hour seven-day operation (8, 10, or 12 hour shifts).
