Security Engineer

Glocomms are partnered with a globally leading technology media firm in the search for an experience and highly technical Security Engineer to focus on further developing the enterprises security posture in areas on endpoint security, email security, application security, network security, and offensive/defensive security.

Key responsibilities:

Act as a senior key contributor to the firm’s technology platform design, architecture, development, testing, and implementation.

Conduct hands-on threat hunting and incident response activities.

Handle daily operations for all enterprise security tools such as IDS/IPS, firewalls, EDR/XDR, AV, email gateway, SWG, and CASB.

Review existing and new security architecture whilst making recommendations for improvement.

Introduce new tools and technologies to improve existing technology infrastructure using a zero-trust approach.

Conduct proof-of-concept, lab testing, stress testing, and penetration testing to improve security posture.

Create the test criteria for new platforms, products, technologies, and ensure they align with business and security objectives.

Create and maintain security documentation and reports to provide to senior leadership.

Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.

Required qualifications:

4+ years of experience in Cyber Security/Security Engineering.

Hands-on experience using security tools and technologies including SIEM, NGFW, vulnerability scanning tools, IDS/IPS, antivirus, etc.

Must be proficient in maintenance of security tools including upgrades and new deployments.

Excellent troubleshooting skills with ability to quickly identify root cause of issues/incidents.
