Jewelry Buyer

The position is based in Nashville, TN, in-office, 5 days (Monday - Friday) a week from 9:30 am – 6:00 pm with the exception of special events and inventory days.

The Jewelry Buyer at Genesis Diamonds will be responsible for planning, selecting, and maintaining in stock levels with new and existing vendors to support company sales objectives.

Responsibilities:

Interacting with new and existing vendors in selection of new lines, styles, and programs

Negotiating cost and terms of purchase agreements

Ensuring the timely delivery of products and compliance with the contracts of purchase

Monitoring stock levels and place replenishment orders within open to buy parameters

Creating reports on sales, budgets and customer satisfaction and adjust strategies according to trend

Partnering with marketing to provide products and details to support campaign initiatives

Assisting in developing and implementing product knowledge training for associates

Providing training and mentorship to assistant buyer.

Comprehensive understanding of retail math and ability to analyze basic sales reports

Education and Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail, luxury retail, jewelry, or jewelry related industry

Proven experience as a retail buyer or relevant role

Excellent knowledge of MS Office

High school diploma; BS/BA in business administration or relevant field will be considered a plus
