Position: Corporate IT Manager

Location: Fairfax, VA- 4 days week onsite, Fridays remote

Terms: Contract to Hire

Comp Target: 30-40/hr W2, 80-85k FTE conversion

Our client, a rapidly growing government IT services company, is seeking a Corporate IT Manager to lead their corporate technology support & enablement.

You have:

experience leading company infrastructure support including M365, SharePoint, Slack/MS Teams, VPN, end user hardware and peripherals.

build-mode mentality - you'll be working at a startup as they scale from 50 to 150+ employees over the next 18 months

Position Summary:

The Corporate IT Manager is a vital member of our team, responsible for overseeing the company's computer infrastructure and supervising the IT department. They will be responsible for upgrading and installing hardware and software, troubleshooting IT issues, and maintaining the company's networks and servers. We are seeking a Corporate IT Manager with extensive experience in IT Administration and the ability to optimize the performance of our IT infrastructure. An accomplished Corporate IT Manager will be someone whose technical expertise results in enhanced IT system efficiency across the company's structures.

Primary Responsibilities:

Monitoring and maintaining networks and servers.

Upgrading, installing, and configuring new hardware and software to meet company objectives.

Implementing security protocols and procedures to prevent potential threats.

Creating user accounts and performing access control.

Performing diagnostic tests and debugging procedures to optimize computer systems.

Documenting processes, as well as backing up and archiving data.

Developing data retrieval and recovery procedures.

Designing and implementing efficient end-user feedback and error reporting systems.

Supervising and mentoring IT department employees and providing IT support.

Keeping up to date with advancements and best practices in IT administration.

Develop and maintain productive relationships with clients and senior management.

All other duties as assigned by managers and contribute to the company’s proposal activities.

Skills and Qualifications:

Sound business and technical awareness of corporate technology enablement.

Superior verbal and written communication skills to effectively manage project communications and stakeholder expectations at all levels of the organization.

Superior interpersonal and demonstrated facilitation skills including the ability to motivate and influence others, build effective interpersonal relationships, and able to foster and contribute to a positive and productive team environment.

Creative and innovative, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in his/her work style to better respond to multiple requests/tasks and handle sudden changes in priorities or when encountering new/unique situations. Able to readily embrace and participate in change initiatives.

Makes reasonable judgments quickly and adjusts thinking to assimilate new information or ideas.

Possesses highly effective analytical thinking ability to gather, understand, integrate, and synthesize complex information to document solutions, make recommendations, or propose action plans.

Possesses a strong customer service ethic, consistently exceeding business customer expectations.

Ability to understand and communicate interactions among complex computer systems in business terms and express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing, to diverse groups of people

Excellent understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.

Logical and efficient with keen attention to detail.

Highly self-motivated and directed.

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills may be acquired

Minimum 5 years of extensive experience with IT Systems, networks, and related technologies

Solid knowledge of best practices in IT administration and system security

Ability to succeed in a dynamic environment and produce deliverables within tight timeframes and under pressure.

Proficient with consulting and technical tools (MS Office Suite, analytics, etc.)
