Proposal Lead Solution Architect

iVision Consulting is seeking a Proposal Lead Solution Architect to join our Growth team. The Proposal Lead Solution Architect will lead and support Request for Proposal (RFP) technical responses, specifically providing responsibilities pertaining to solution architecture, design, and technical writing. The ideal candidate will also serve as a Solution Architect for shaping and developing leading-edge technology solutions and concepts to deliver for our customers spanning cloud computing, digital services, DevSecOps, data analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI).

What You Will Do

Lead technical responses to Government RFPs while collaborating across company’s management, sales, and technical teams to prepare compelling and innovative solutions.

Prepare win themes, win strategies, value propositions, differentiators, and solution concepts and frameworks for technical responses to Government RFPs.

Develop modern, innovative, high-quality, and scalable solutions to perform the Statement of Work (SOW) in terms of people, processes, and tools/technologies.

Identify and organize subject matter experts to assist with articulating a technical approach in writing.

Identify, engage, and coordinate technical resources to support technical solutions development.

Coordinate with technical resources and project teams to develop and refine proposal content.

Analyze RFP documents (Statement of Work (SOW), evaluation criteria, etc.) to assess company’s capability strengths and weaknesses; work with company’s business units to formulate strategies to address weaknesses.

Assist in building proposal compliance matrix and tracking fulfillment of RFP requirements.

Prepare white papers and other technical documents.

Develop technical solutions using industry frameworks (CMMI, ISO, PMBOK) and best practices.

Support development and updates to the capture plan for strategic opportunities.

Lead or participate in customer and domain research to inform a solution.

Perform Pre-RFP engineering support for new and emerging customers.

Identify potential risks and dependencies that could impact program execution.

Ensure solutions and approaches meet security and compliance requirements.

What You Need

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or similar technical field

10+ years of experience working in a technical leadership role in the Federal Government contracting industry.

5+ years of experience working as a Solution Architect for technical responses to Federal Government RFPs, including proposal writing and technical writing.

Must have superior written and oral communication skills with ability to produce polished final content for client delivery and present company’s capabilities, services, and solutions with clients.

Must have advanced understanding of software engineering principles and methodologies, including Agile/Scrum, SAFe/Agile, DevSecOps, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).

5+ years of experience in architectural design in one or more technical domains, including system/application development and management, IT service delivery, cloud computing, data science, and digital/business transformation.

Must be able to contribute to multiple concurrent proposals with rapidly changing requirements in a dynamic environment with ambiguity at times.

Proficient in Microsoft products, including M365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint Online, and Teams.

Salary:

$150,000 - $180,000 annual salary plus performance incentives

Hybrid – Remote/In Person (Rockville, Maryland 2 days/week)
