iCell Gene Therapeutics is seeking a Clinical Lab Technician II/III to assist with manufacturing and analysis of Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR) engineered cell therapeutics and contribute to the process of bringing them to cancer and autoimmune patients. This full time position requires:
BS/MS graduate with some immunology and bacteriology background.
Expertise with sterile mammalian tissue culture techniques required.
Experience with qPCR techniques, analysis and design preferred.
Experience working with human T cells and/or NK cells preferred.
Excellent record-keeping skills
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
The position is focused on QA/QC testing of potentially curative therapeutics for desperately in need populations, primarily at our University of Virginia, Charlottesville manufacturing location. Some training and work could be performed at our main R&D facility in Stony Brook, NY. In addition, it will provide opportunity to learn and contribute to all aspects of CAR therapeutics development in a dynamic environment. The technician will be encouraged to pursue interests in line with iCell Gene Therapeutics' clinical projects and corporate development. In addition, there is an opportunity to perform GMP manufacturing at our facility in Virginia. Responsibilities include
developing and testing of CAR T and NK cells
QA/QC testing of viral and CAR products, including qPCR and ELISA.
Preparation of QC documents including study reports, SOPs, and method validations
work together with iCell's regulatory team to prepare documents to submit to the FDA
Further Qualifications:
Good verbal and written communication skills. Graduate level education preferred. Immunology background preferred. Clinical testing experience helpful. 2+ years experience in the skills listed above.
Salary commensurate with experience.
