Quality Mart Area Supervisor
Reports To: Director of Retail Operations
FLSA Status: Exempt
Position Summary
Quality Mart Area Supervisors are responsible for the oversight of QM stores and their managers within their district. This person is responsible for the interviewing, hiring, and training of all store managers. The area supervisor is responsible for performing monthly audits, protecting company assets, providing guidance and assistance to managers to meet monthly sales goals, and ensuring compliance of all company policies and governmental requirements.
Responsibilities
· Hiring responsibilities of Managers for all locations
· Manage frequent audits to ensure protection of company assets
· Ensuring that all Managers are in compliance with company policy
· Assistance and guidance to all managers to ensure that monthly sales goals are met
· Provides information to store management by recapping promotional activity; reporting business opportunities, results, trends and competitive information.
· Completing all paperwork in a timely manner
· Maximizes store sales through excellent customer service, product availability, and merchandising and exceptional store image inside and out.
· Provides leadership and direction to store managers, including assistance in recruiting, selection, and orientation processes, assists with employee development and training programs. Establishes job expectations. Provides coaching to develop action plans for issue resolution
Requirements
A Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 years of experience managing district or regional operations for retail/commercial or large single commercial store with multiple managers and 75+ employee
A valid Driver’s License from the state of residence while maintaining automotive liability insurance during course of employment
The ability to multi-task and be self-motivated
Staffing, training, and supervising General Managers
Implementing merchandising programs, controlling cash and inventory, motivating and team building, and promoting excellent customer service
A focus on Profit and Loss management including budget planning, maximizing sales, and controlling expenses
Setting performance goals and objectives while monitoring results with upper management
Must be able to lift 30 + pounds
Must be able to sit, stand, walk, climb steps, bend, twist, reach, stoop, and squat
Must be computer literate and familiar with basic operating systems
Must be able to perform repetitive work
Must have excellent customer service
Must have a strong attention to detail
Complete any other duties assigned by leadership
