Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive hearing evaluations for pediatric patients, including diagnostic assessments and hearing aid evaluations. Most patients will be sent over directly from the clinic.
Provide counseling and education to parents on the management of their child’s hearing loss and communication needs.
Administer and interpret a range of specialized tests, such as otoacoustic emissions (OAEs), auditory brainstem response (ABR) testing, bone anchored hearing aid (BAHA) evaluations, and cochlear implant (CI) evaluations and mapping.
Collaborate with physicians, speech-language pathologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans for pediatric patients.
Maintain accurate and complete patient records, including test results and treatment plans.
Qualifications:
Masters or Doctorate of Audiology (Au.D.) from an accredited program.
Current or eligibility to obtain Audiology licensure in Georgia.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that allow effective working relationships with a diverse patient, colleague, and vendor populations.
