Position Summary

The Domestic Operations Representative for our fast-growing, On-Demand division, increases the value of our current customer base while proactively seeking new ones through strategic business development initiatives. This role is responsible for determining the best shipping route based on the customer’s shipping instructions and guidelines in the preparation and transmission of domestic transactions. This role will oversee and facilitate domestic, first-mile, and last-mile shipments for our Expedited, Next Flight Out (NFO), and Express services. This includes identifying new opportunities, winning the shipment through developing a competitive bid/quote, and seeing the shipment through its fruition in the booking, confirmation of shipping, and delivery process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Regularly seeks new business opportunities with new customers by developing competitive quotes and bids and providing the most efficient operations to attract new customers.

Provides overall management of new and existing portfolio and information relative to the customers including implementation of new procedures, quotes, contract agreements, routing, ad-hoc bids, and special projects.

Serves as an advisor and customer advocate and is responsible for resolving issues and proper customer positioning on all issues pertaining to delivering customer satisfaction.

Builds relationships with customers, management, office personnel at the customer, overseas and domestic agents, carriers, and all other service providers.

Identifies the most appropriate mode of transport, selects carriers and agents, and communicates with all parties involved the shipment status, special handling, and delivery processes from origin to destination.

Oversees and manages shipments until completion identifying and utilizing both internal and external resources.

Updates, develops, and maintains the standard operating procedure (SOP) for customer(s) assigned to them and ensures all team members are apprised of any applicable changes.

Keeps customers appraised to the domestic details of transactions in accordance with SOP, SLA, and any other agreed to terms and conditions.

Ensures accuracy and completeness of all documentation in compliance with TSA and Ace Quality Assurance Standards SOPs.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, international business, or similar; and

1-3 years of proven logistics operations experience with a preference for freight forwarding experience; operate and quote shipments

Must possess excellent customer service skills with the ability to build great working relationships

Must have strong organizational and time management skills

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
