Become an integral part of our client's solar construction team and take on a crucial position in overseeing commercial solar and renewable energy projects. As the Project Manager for their Commercial Solar team, you'll lead the way in ensuring the direction, completion, and triumph of designated projects, ensuring they not only fulfill contractual obligations but also surpass client expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Actively manage a portfolio of commercial solar projects from inception to completion.

Lead or co-lead projects as required, collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Plan and organize projects under the guidance of Project Executives or Division Managers.

Oversee construction to ensure compliance with contract documents and industry standards.

Perform thorough contract reviews and effectively manage contract terms.

Become the company's expert on all aspects of project's General and Special Conditions.

Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within corporate guidelines.

Prepare detailed project estimates, reviewing plans, specifications, and bid forms.

Maintain positive cash flow schedules through efficient cash flow management.

Conduct initial client assessments to determine project scope, schedule, and resource requirements.

Ensure adherence to project budgets for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.

Produce accurate bills of material for major equipment purchases based on comprehensive reviews.

Negotiate subcontractor terms and conditions, issuing complete subcontracts as needed.

Generate subcontract requisitions and manage vendor invoices and payment schedules.

Provide daily mentorship and guidance to Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers.

Manage preconstruction activities, including permit submissions and equipment procurement.

Attend job walks and onsite meetings to oversee project progress and address any issues.

Collaborate with field supervision to update job status reports and adjust schedules or plans.

Monitor construction activities to ensure projects are on schedule and within budget.

Create and maintain project schedules to optimize project timelines.

Investigate and resolve any serious situations according to company guidelines.

Supervise the preparation and negotiation of change orders.

Prepare monthly cost reports under the supervision of Senior Project Managers or Division Managers.

Education and Experience:

4+ years of combined experience in electrical project engineering, estimating, and project management.

Direct experience managing electrical projects, particularly in the solar sector.

Experience in estimating change orders and managing project accounting.

Completion of an accredited electrical apprenticeship, relevant industry experience, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Proficiency in project management software and estimating software.
