Our client operates as a distinguished Automation & Engineering Firm, offering top-tier services to the Refining, Gas & Oil, Pipeline, Renewable, Chemical, and BioPharma Industries, backed by over three decades of Engineering expertise. They are currently seeking an adept and driven Control Systems Engineer (CSE) to bolster our multidisciplinary projects within local refineries.
Position Summary:
As a Control System Engineer, you'll lead technical initiatives, manage projects, and drive the development and implementation of control systems. Your responsibilities include designing and specifying DCS/Logic Solver PLC components, developing system specifications, and participating in troubleshooting and root cause analysis for control system-related issues.
Requirements:
3-7 years of relevant experience
BS in Engineering or related technical field (or equivalent)
Professional Engineer registration desired
Key Attributes:
Design and select control systems for projects of various sizes
Scope and detail system philosophy for large projects
Implement company standards and procedures
Adhere to client and safety policies
Core Competencies:
Interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate assignments
Perform specialized technical work in systems engineering and controls
Establish design and specifications for control systems
Implement control concepts and inform project leads of deviations
Participate in control system design work, including drawings and diagrams
DCS (Distributed Control System):
Graphics, database, and configuration (Honeywell a MUST)
Familiarity with P&IDs, Logic Diagrams, Cause/Effect matrices, and Functional Narratives
Test procedure development
Startup assistance and troubleshooting
Operations/maintenance training
PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) / HMI (Human Machine Interface) Programming:
PLC programming (Allen Bradley CLX and PLC5 preferred)
HMI programming (PanelView and RSView preferred)
Familiarity with P&IDs, Logic Diagrams, Cause/Effect matrices, and Functional Narratives
Test procedure development
Startup assistance and troubleshooting
Operations/maintenance training
Safety System Logic Solvers:
Logic Solver programming (Triconex Platform preferred)
Logic Validation Software programming (Schneider Safety Validator preferred)
Familiarity with P&IDs, Logic Diagrams, Cause/Effect matrices, and Functional Narratives
Test procedure development
Startup assistance and troubleshooting
Operations/maintenance training
