PURPOSE OF THE ROLE/ROLE OVERVIEW
An Assistant Manager will be responsible for juggling the demands of the workgroup, the organization, and the customer. As a liaison between the team and upper management, this leader will mentor, train, advise, and coach the team members. In addition, make sure that all team members adhere to TSA guidelines and directives, airport, and airline requirements and protocols, and business rules and procedures. The information given below is intended to provide an understanding of the workload associated with the Assistant Manager position, you may be required to carry out other duties appropriate to the position. General Duties/Key Responsibilities:
Maintain established processes that support TSA standards, and directives, along with airport and airline security processes and regulations
Create a positive, inclusive and engaging work environment
Ensure compliance with all Company standard operating procedures, and relevant HR policies and procedures
Responsible for directly supervising hourly employees; provide training and feedback, including accolades, constructive guidance, and coaching
Oversee employee scheduling and productivity Conduct daily work group meetings, performance feedback, and training
Motivate and collaborate with the operations team to achieve financial, employee, and customer goals Support and ensure compliance with all safety initiatives
Compile data for security incident statistics and document discrepancies
Maintain a high-profile airline customer and TSA contact Responsible for the administration of company policies, payroll, benefits, and attendance
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Minimum Required Education and Experience
High school diploma/GED required
Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent education and experience is preferred
One to three years of work experience in a supervisory role is required
Valid identification, and proof of authorization to work in the United States
Must pass a comprehensive background check process in compliance with federal and regulatory guidelines
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
Strong planning, organizational skills, and attention to detail
Interpersonal and communication skills, including verbal and written through all levels of an internal or external organization
Ability to motivate a diverse workforce toward sustained quality and productivity
Safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and federal, state, and local standards
Maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA, and federal, state, and local standards
Ability to work in a 24-hour, 7-days-a-week shift environment
Ability to read, write, and speak English as necessary for safe and efficient operations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer application
