Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Project Engineer at Prolific Chemicals Private Limited in Mumbai.

The Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing various engineering projects within the company. This includes project planning, project management, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. The Project Engineer will also be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of projects within budget and on schedule.

Qualifications :

BSc / BE from an accredited institution - Diploma Holders also can apply.

Minimum 5 years field experience in Chemical Industry REQUIRED.

Job Location : MIDC Tarapur

Job Description:

Preparation and Review of PFDs, P&IDs, Line List Plant Layouts, Piping GA & Isometric drawings, Fabrication drawings and technical specification sheets. Drawing checking & approval as per requirements.

Coordinate with Detail engineering consultants for timely deliverables.

Budget and Cost estimation preparation.

Generation of Bill of Material as per requirement for plant equipment, piping & structures etc.

Float inquiry & selection of required material as per process requirements & correspondence with supplier. Indents, Work orders preparation & finalization with detail scope & technical requirements.

Technical comparison preparation & finalization of the same with purchase department.

Preparation of detailed equipment technical specification, requisition for purchase, technical bid analysis, quality assurance plan.

Approving of the Equipment fabrication drawings

Visit the vendors manufacturing workshops for expediting the manufacturing and follow up with suppliers for the timely delivery of equipment at site

Coordination & Follow-ups with various contract agencies to completion of project work with in Targeted time frame. Attending progress review meetings with contractors.

Testing and Commissioning of installed equipment & piping system with pneumatic test, hydro test, spark test, trial run, vacuum test etc.

Participate in HAZOP study.

Periodic review of project progress with technology/ Process Team, Detail Engineering execution team and procurement team

Work Closely with HSE, Process, Civil, Electrical, Instrument and Mechanical team for smooth execution of the Project.

Coordinate for the weekly review of the Projects along with Team members, External Vendors and Stake.

Present the Weekly and Monthly Progress report to the Management.

The candidate must have the following qualities as well :

Strong communication skills

Experience in project management and project engineering

Proficiency in project planning and scheduling

Background in electrical engineering or related field

Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations

Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Salary : 5 LPA CTC (negotiable - completely will depend on the previous demonstrated experience and expertise)
