The Analyst Logistics works closely with Scheduling & Commercial Services to support the data and reporting functions of the department. This is a developmental role that will be given exposure to Logistics and PNL reporting, Scheduling operations and the Order to Cash Lifecycle.

What You'll Be Doing

Captures Logistics moves in our Right Angle system.

Reconciles inventories in Right Angle to Scheduling Supply and Demand.

Coordinates data in the system with Commercial Services Analysts.

Gathers, reconciles and distributes of Bills of Lading.

Updates live position report to maintain a live position view for Traders and Marketers.

Generates daily reports on demurrage, detention, and in-transit rail.

Generates monthly reports for tax purposes, customs, audit and government tracking purposes.

Assists in all month end tasks including balancing and reconciliation of inventories to meet accounting deadlines.

Maintains databases with rates, tariffs, and charges.

Trains on rail and truck scheduling to understand the business and provide assistance and coverage for Logistics team.

Provides on call coverage on trucking desk off hour rotation.

Contributes to P&L reporting models.

Collaborates with all stakeholders in the supply chain to minimize or eliminate accessorial charges.

Communicates and negotiates with various internal groups such as contracts, accounting, and finance and, as well as with external clients and service providers.

Demonstrates a personal commitment and proactive approach to Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) through participation in all applicable EH&S programs and ensures safe operation of the branch, team or unit and compliance with all Company EH&S policies and procedures.

May perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring

Post-secondary degree in Business, Economics, Logistics or a related field preferred.

Related experience in Crude oil industry would be considered an asset.

Demonstrates a proficiency in MS Office systems.

Familiarity with Right Angle would be considered an asset.

Experience with GeoMetrix rail tracking software would be an asset.

Proven ability to be proactive, self-motivated and take initiative.

Demonstrates high analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.

Exhibits strong communication skills.

Ability to adjust to changing and conflicting demands, responsibilities and issues.

Ability to pay attention to detail and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Exhibits a process for improvement mindset.
