Physician Assistant PA for Nephrology Practice

Job Description

Boson Health is seeking a Physician Assistant to deliver excellent quality care to our patients. The position has two roles. About half the time is spent in Clear Lake working in our outpatient vascular access center. The other half of the job is in the Med Center area doing dialysis rounds. This is a full-time salaried (exempt) position with benefits that include CMEs and malpractice coverage. No weekends and no call. Travel during the day to dialysis clinics is required. Mileage reimbursement included.

What you would do at the outpatient vascular access center:

Vascular access pre-op and post-op

Vein mapping and ultrasound readings

Interventional nephrology procedures

History and physicals along with follow-up visits for research patients

Nephrology clinic rounds

For dialysis rounds, you would visit our patients in dialysis units to monitor progress and to address any patient needs.

Qualifications

Current Physician Assistant license

Current BLS certificate

Current DEA and DPS certificate

Demonstrates a comprehensive knowledge of clinical processes, community agencies, professional programs and resources. Working knowledge of applicable regulations

Demonstrates a high level of interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written

Advanced assessment, consultative and teaching skills

Ability to speak, read, writes, and comprehends English
