Marina Dock Attendant / Dock Hand - Ocean Havens Marinas

Boston Harbor Shipyard and Marina is seeking professionals to fill available roles for dock hands and dock attendants. Located on the east side of Boston Harbor, The Shipyard is home to an eclectic mix of tenants on the land and in the water. During the boating season, the dock hand position is the first face that customers meet, and they are ambassadors of the environment we cultivate.

Our Dock-hands assist our customers coming to and leaving from the marina, help orient them throughout the property and area, as well as aim to address any of their boating needs. As such, boating knowledge and familiarity of the Boston area is a plus! The right candidate is cheerful, engaging, and courteous towards the customer at all times, providing top-notch customer service while projecting a professional company image through all types of interaction on and off-site.

Beyond these responsibilities, this position requires a willingness to assist with any task needed at the marina. Some of these tasks are:

- Perform daily opening and closing job duties, daily dock walks, and grounds maintenance.

- Contribute towards a healthy, safe, clean, and fun work environment

-Tidy docks, walkways, sidewalks, equipment, and all other areas of the facility.

- Assist and support special events at the marina that may take place outside of normal operating hours

- Other duties as assigned

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

- Capable of operating small handheld and power tools.

- Ability to read and write

- Competent with the use of Computers

- Able to swim

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

- Customer Service & Detail Oriented

- Knowledge of boating is a plus, but all are encouraged to apply. Full training is provided.

- Schedule flexibility, weekends and holidays required as needed
