About:

We are Beverly Rehab, and we are a leading substance abuse and mental health organization based in California treating clients recovering from fentanyl addiction using a harm reduction model. We’ve experienced tremendous growth and pride ourselves on providing our staff with a stable work environment. You’ll be joining an organization that’s established but also keeps growing.

We believe in rewarding highly competent employees who stay with us long-term, and we are constantly looking for new stars to hire who will add value to and rise within our company. We are in search of a Homeless Outreach specialist who can convince homeless shelters, breadlines and other similar kinds of organizations located in Connecticut to send new clients into our treatment clinics in California and also maintain relationships with those organizations and the clients you bring into our program.

Our Mission:

To help our clients escape homelessness, obtain sobriety and get the life they want. We achieve this through our close-knit team of highly motivated staff.

The Impact You’ll Make:

Help save the lives of recovering addicts.

Job Overview:

We’re looking to hire a Homeless Outreach Specialist who has connections and direct experience working with homeless shelters, breadlines and other similar kinds of organizations. You must be charismatic and able to convince groups that aid the homeless to send us clients who need addiction and/or mental health treatment.

And once you recruit clients into our clinic you’ll need to manage their accounts and check in on them regularly to confirm that they’re happy with our program and notify our managers if your clients have any problems; and you’ll need to maintain relationships with and report back to the the homelessness organization with which you forge relationships that things are going well for your clients.

Qualifications:

Must have extensive and direct experience working with homeless shelters and similar kinds of organizations, either as a volunteer or employee

Must be able to connect and easily communicate with homeless people

Must have connections with and clout at some homeless shelters or other kinds of organizations that help the homeless

You must have prior knowledge about how to approach homeless organizations and an understanding of how to convince them to work with us

Must be comfortable receiving little training, as we don’t provide training on how to approach and convince homeless organizations to work with us (we will train you on EKRA laws and educate you about how our program works so you feel confident talking about us but ultimately you will have to figure out how to connect with homeless organizations)

If you have a proven track record of success at sales it’s a plus but not required

No prior experience in mental health or substance abuse treatment required

Schedule/Location: As an independent contractor you will make your own schedule, and you’ll be expected to visit homeless shelters and other facilities in Connecticut to convince them to send clients to our clinics and as needed to maintain the relationships you establish with these programs. You will also need to check up on your clients and ensure they’re happy, but you can do this remotely since our treatment clinics are mostly located in California, and we will provide you with point people who will help you communicate with your clients and ensure they are recovering and progressing.

Compensation: As an independent contractor you will be paid $5k monthly, and we will also cover your gas expenses, as well as some other incidentals, such as buying the client food or an Uber ride before they get on a plane to fly to California for treatment. There are no commissions or bonuses for this position, but there’s potential to increase your monthly pay over time so long as you consistently perform your job at a high level.Company Description
