Marketing Specialist (Project Based)

Description:

As a Senior Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for building and maintaining a brand presence by managing the entire digital strategy and content creation for the 7th edition of El Gouna Film Festival with direction from the Marketing Director. You will be responsible for executing marketing strategies, to promote the festival, increase its visibility, and drive audience engagement. You will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, collaborating with a diverse team of professionals to ensure the success of the festival.

Primary Responsibilities:

Manage the festival’s digital presence including the website, social media channels, content creation, Mobile apps, and email campaigns.

Assist the Marketing Director with the development of festival-related content including blogposts, articles, videos, and other multimedia assets.

Oversee the maintenance of the festival's brand, ensuring consistency and coherence across all marketing materials including promotion campaigns, press releases, digital content, and advertising collateral.

Work closely with creative agencies and vendors when needed.

Manage promotional partnerships and coordinate promotional activities.

Pitch and ideate for ongoing brand, social, and seasonal GFF creative campaigns and collaborations.

Supervise the production of the GFF season print suite: invitations, programs, winner envelopes, etc.

Qualifications and requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field master’s degree is a plus.

Proven experience of 7 years or more in marketing and promotions within the film industry or related field, with a strong understanding of film festivals.

Strong knowledge of digital marketing, social media, and content marketing.

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

A passion for film and the arts, with a deep understanding of global cinema and the evolving landscape of the film industry.
